Really delicious food combined with very helpful and friendly service. We’ll definitely stop again. The owner takes pride in providing flavorful, quality food. The chicken, falafel and fries were very well seasoned and cooked, but the pickled veg and tahini sauce took it to the next level!
Kebab Republic is a hidden gem! I ordered pita bread and the kebob over rice entree. The entree is a generous portion (enough for two meals or more) and included a big portion of hummus. Everything was fresh and delicious! Tony was freally friendly and didn't make me feel rushed when I asked questions about some of the other entrees. He was generous enough to let me sample the most delicious piece of baklava I've eaten. The photo doesn't do the food justice but it was the best I could do. Highly recommend this place!
I haven't had much Mediterranean food, so I don't think I'm the best judge, but the chicken was tender and seasoned well. The fries were fresh and very good. Wasn't a lot of food for the price, but I'd still go back to try other items. The staff were very friendly.

The rice was fragrant and cooked just right, and the fresh toppings—crispy onions, juicy tomatoes, and vibrant purple cabbage—added the perfect balance and crunch. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, and the portion was generous. You can really tell they care about quality and flavor. One of the best shawarma plates I’ve had—highly recommend! 🤍🔥
On a road trip, and was a little nervous to not go to a chain. Took a “risk” and opted for Kebob Republic because it looked tasty and healthy. We were blown away! Fast, good prices, and ridiculously high quality. If you’re traveling, I cannot recommend it higher!
Stopped by a Mediterranean restaurant in Kearney today and it was amazing. I got the chicken shawarma over rice with hummus everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The owner was super welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. Definitely one of the best Mediterranean meals I’ve had. I’ll be back.
Kebob Republic may be my favorite stop I’ve made along I-80 in Nebraska. I highly recommend taking the time to visit if you are looking for fresh and delicious Mediterranean food. Or just a high quality, reasonably priced, meal made with so much love, while driving through Nebraska. The beef schwarma,chicken over rice, and falafel were all amazing. The owner has immense passion that you can feel, which really topped off the entire experience. Kebob Republic has become a mandatory stop for me on every one of my cross country road trips.
When I visit Kearney I make a point of stopping by to purchase the falafel! The owner is extremely kind. During one of my visits he showed me a picture of all of the ingredients that go into making his falafel. Amazing! The taste is delicious. Items are made to order so do plan to order ahead or wait if you place the order in person. It will be worth it, I promise! If your meal doesn’t come with the garlic sauce make sure to order some because it is so good. My most recent visit was mid-June (2026). There are signs indicating they are moving to a new location. I spoke with the owner and he said he will update the location on Google when they move to their new space which will include some indoor seating!
We had such a wonderful experience at Kebob Republic last May 15. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. What made our visit even more special was how accommodating, kind, and respectful the staff was. Forgot his name 😭 He made us feel genuinely welcomed and comfortable. It’s always memorable when both the food and customer service are excellent, and this place definitely delivered both. We will absolutely come back again the next time we visit Kearney. Highly recommended!
